Program Goals:
- Aid incoming First-year students with their transition to campus life including academic and socially
- Assist with the transition and retention of underrepresented first-year students
- Offers opportunities to build personal connections with peer-to-peer relationships
- Provide personal, professional, and leadership development of students
Program Structure:
- Time Frame- One Academic Calendar Year
- Open to underrepresented first-year students
- Mentors must attend the Mentor Leadership/Training Course (A 1 hour course) either before becoming a mentor or the first semester after becoming a mentor
- Mentees must enroll in the First Year Experience Seminar
